I-205 Southbound Off Ramp

Portland, Oregon

Century West completed the design for the Port of Portland for the conceptual design, ODOT permitting, and final design for improvements to the Southbound Off Ramp off of Interstate 205 (I-205) onto Airport Way to add a right hand turn lane to the off ramp. The project included a detailed conceptual design phase that analyzed wetlands adjacent to the proposed improvements and required obtaining a design exception from ODOT due to existing limitations created by the I-205 North Bound overcrossing.

The final design approach limited wetland impacts and reduced overall project costs by utilizing existing pavements wherever possible. The project addressed Airport Way traffic congestion and mitigated the impacts of the retail development of Cascade Station.
