job Description

Century West Engineering, a premier Northwest civil engineering consulting firm, is hiring spring graduates for Engineer-in-Training (EITs) positions in all our eight Pacific Northwest offices! Priority will be given to students we met during career fairs or campus visits, so if we’ve already chatted with you, make sure to remind us in your application email. The right candidates will be interested in municipal and/or aviation design and construction and preferably have held an internship with a civil engineering consulting firm or public agency. Our EITs work in a team environment both in the field and the office; have basic AutoCAD skills; and bring experience with or have a strong desire to learn Civil 3D and/or Microstation for alignments, profiles, corridors, site grading, and surfaces. Pay Range: $61,000 to $73,000 Benefits:
  • 2 to 4 weeks of vacation depending on experience

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist in preparation of preliminary design specifications and drawings
  • Visit job sites for field activity observation and confirm field activities are conforming to design plans and specifications
  • Perform engineering calculations
  • Coordinate with and review design work from other engineers and technicians
Qualifications:
  • Graduating in 2023 with a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
  • Have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam and making progress toward professional licensure
  • AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or Microstation experience
  • Good technical and communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suites
