Happy New Year! 2017 was a busy year for Century West, allowing us to hire over 15 people. Meet 3 of our newest additions!

Melanie Johansen, PE, Project Manager – Bothell Office

Melanie has over 10 years of civil engineering experience and will be responsible for supporting and growing our services throughout western Washington. Century West is expanding our Puget Sound office capacity and capabilities, her addition to the team will continue the success of our operations. Melanie was born and raised in Michigan, but has made the Seattle area her home for the past 10 years. In her spare time she enjoys dancing, baking, and spending time outdoors hiking and camping.

Joseph Jenkins, PE, Project Engineer – Portland Office

Joseph has over 8 years of civil engineering experience in projects ranging from transportation work for cities, counties, and DOTs, to private development and stormwater management facilities. Joseph grew up in the Portland-Metro area, and obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Washington and Portland State University, respectively.  In his free time, Joseph enjoys running and weight lifting; house and yard projects with his husband; tending to his chickens; and being of service to his cats.

Robert Bielaski, PE, Project Manager – Spokane Office

Rob has over 14 years design experience with projects ranging from transportation and stormwater facilities for municipal clients, to residential and commercial projects for private development clients. In his role as Project Manager, he will be responsible for civil design, project management and business development efforts. Rob recently moved to Spokane from Chicago, IL.  He and his family enjoy biking, hiking, camping, and whitewater rafting.
