Century West provided design, bidding, and construction management services to the City of Sisters. This project was funded by the City of Sisters and the ODOT Flexible Funds Program. The objective of the project was to provide safety improvements for bicycles and pedestrians including the implementation of back-in angled parking. Century West provided design and survey services as well as community outreach and an integrated streetscape design approved by ODOT incorporating aesthetic improvements such as street trees.

The project specifications for this project were based on the Oregon Standard Specifications for Construction issued by ODOT (2008) and local standards issued by the City of Sisters. Century West prepared the full bid package for this project including invitation to bid, general conditions, specifications, and construction plans.

In addition to parking improvements, the project included significant ADA improvements along the corridor. These improvements were complicated by uneven and difficult grades to existing store fronts. We coordinated with the City and individual business owners to ensure an end product that met standards and operational constraints
