Bremerton National Airport, Airport Master Plan
Bremerton, WA
Project
Century West updated the Port of Bremerton’s 2004 Airport Master Plan. Key master plan issues included runway extension/reconfiguration analyses, planning for new landside developments (business aviation facilities, aircraft hangars, etc.), wetlands, surface access, stormwater upgrades/modifications, and FAA RPZ coordination. Given the significant known wetland and stormwater issues on the site, we developed a comprehensive base map at the beginning stages of the project which allowed us to strategically locate future facilities in areas clear of environmental issues.
We also coordinated our planning closely with adjacent industrial area plans to develop an integrated approach allowing complimentary benefits for both on airport and industrial park development. Our team also prepared a separate business plan for the airport that focused on market assessment and development of strategies for expanding the airport’s competitive position in the region.
