Spokane International Airport selected Century West to provide a fast-track design to resurface a critical 1,000 foot section of roadway in front of the baggage claim area at the north end of the main terminal. The baggage claim area at Spokane International is a high impact zone with high traffic volumes and vehicles dropping off and picking up passengers.
As part of the project requirement, the airport specified that access to the parking lane in front of the baggage claim area could not be blocked during daytime hours for construction. Century West worked with airport operations staff to develop a traffic control plan that allowed work to be completed during nighttime hours between the last flights arriving at night and the first arriving flights of the morning. Century West additionally provided construction management support and was able to complete the design on schedule and under budget.
