Tekoa Influent Lift Station Project
Tekoa, WA
Project
Century West assisted the City of Tekoa in applying to DOE for funding to design and construct a new influent lift station for the City’s wastewater treatment plant. The existing lift station is at the end of its useful life and corrosion of the infrastructure is increasing the risk of a catastrophic failure. The siphon that carries all of the City’s sewage to the existing influent lift station also has an infiltration problem that significantly increases influent flows to the plant when creek flows increase. This project, currently in design, will replace the existing influent lift station with a new triplex lift station, using a new creek crossing that was installed during a previous infiltration and inflow project. Century West is currently designing the improvements with construction slated for summer 2021.
