Century West is excited to welcome three new members to our Oregon municipal team:
- Ashley Doty, PE | Senior Municipal Project Manager | Portland
- Sean Passage, PE | Senior Municipal Project Manager | Bend
- Christina Villeneuve, RG, MBA | Municipal Business Development Manager | Portland
Together, they bring experience across project management, business development, and civil engineering, strengthening our ability to serve communities across the Pacific Northwest.

A Strong First Impression
Each of them came to Century West with a sense of familiarity, whether through past partnerships, industry reputation, or local ties.
“I’ve seen Century West around for a long time in the industry,” Ashley shared. “I knew they worked on municipal projects, and I was interested in continuing to do that. It seemed like a good opportunity, and I liked the people I had met.”
Christina had a similar experience from the consultant side. “They always came across as fun and caring, but also collaborative,” she said. “We got to talk a lot about approaches, and that was really important from a holistic project delivery standpoint.”
For Sean, the connection runs even deeper. “Growing up in Bend, it was firms like Century West that you’d see around town,” he said. “They’ve contributed to the community I grew up in, and I feel like working here, I can continue that tradition.”
A Culture That Stands Out
In their first few weeks, one theme came up again and again: support.
“There are a lot of firms where you feel like you’re just a cog in the wheel,” Sean said. “Here, everybody’s teamed together. It’s very collaborative, open to suggestions, and it’s been a really smooth, warm welcome.”
Christina agreed, noting how approachable the team has been. “Sometimes when you start somewhere new, you feel like you can’t go bother people,” she said. “But here, everyone has been really open. There’s a lot of transparency, and I think that’s important because it allows everyone to contribute.”
Ashley agreed. “Everyone’s been really welcoming. It’s been nice getting to know people and settle in at a comfortable pace.”
Perspectives from Across Oregon
With offices across the Pacific Northwest, Century West teams regularly collaborate across locations to support communities of all sizes. With team members based in both Portland and Bend, this group brings experience working across the state and beyond.
Sean is especially excited about expanding beyond his Central Oregon experience. “I’ve been a little bit in a bubble,” he said. “Now I get to see what’s going on in Portland, Vancouver, Spokane, and Idaho. I’m excited to become more well-rounded and learn from those different perspectives.”
Ashley echoed that sentiment. “It’s nice to have access to the different offices and the variety of experience across the company.”
Christina added that working across regions can also feel personal. “After spending 12 years in Spokane, I really think of it as home,” Christina said. “It’s exciting to say, ‘I know that community.’ It makes the work feel more connected.”
Bringing Values to Life
Century West’s values – caring, creative, and collaborative – come through clearly in how they approach their work.
“I don’t think I’ve ever delivered a project on my own,” Ashley said. “It always requires working with other people.”
For Sean, that collaboration extends to mentorship. “I remember being a first-year engineer and not knowing what to do,” he said. “Helping bring up younger staff and pulling out their skill sets creates a stronger team overall.”
Christina shared an example of creativity in action. “We recently interviewed for a project where the team went out to the site, talked to business owners, and identified issues the client hadn’t considered,” she said. “Even though we didn’t win the project, the client reached out afterward and said they wanted to work with us in the future.”
Why Public Work Matters
All three share a strong connection to public infrastructure.
“For me, it’s the sense of community,” Sean said. “You see it go back to the people using it. I’ve had people tell me how much they appreciate a project, and that’s really rewarding.”
Christina shared a moment that stuck with her. “We worked on a tsunami evacuation tower, and someone from the community said, ‘We would have died without this,’” she said. “That’s when it really hits you. These projects change people’s lives. I love being able to point at projects and say, ‘We worked on that.’”
Ashley highlighted the importance of strong project delivery. “Delivering projects within budget helps the entire community,” she said. “It means not pulling from other funds or increasing taxes.”
Looking Ahead
When asked about what they’re looking forward to as they settle into their roles, the team was already thinking about working together.
“Chasing projects with Christina,” Ashley said with a laugh.
“Ditto,” Sean added.
Christina is focused on the bigger picture. “We’re excited about the expansion happening in Washington and Idaho and being in a position to support those communities.”
For Sean, it comes back to teamwork. “I’m excited to see how the team approaches things and to be part of that collaborative effort,” he said. “Having experts in each field lets me focus on being a really good project manager.”
With their combined experience, shared values, and clear enthusiasm for the work ahead, Ashley, Christina, and Sean are already contributing to the collaborative, community-focused approach that defines Century West. We’re thrilled to welcome them to the team.
