Century West Expands to Vancouver: Strengthening Our Commitment to Southwest Washington

Century West’s newest office in downtown Vancouver, Washington, represents more than just growth. It is a clear statement of commitment. For 56 years, our team has served communities throughout the Pacific Northwest, but the absence of a physical presence in Southwest Washington has been a barrier to expanding that work. Now, with our new Vancouver office officially open, we are closing that gap.

Located just a few blocks from Esther Short Park in downtown Vancouver, the office places Century West at the center of a vibrant and fast-growing region, and within reach of the clients who have encouraged us to make this move.

“We’ve been working on getting into the Southwest Washington market for a while,” says Joseph Jenkins, Portland and Vancouver Office Manager. “But we reached a point where clients wanted to see that we were serious about doing business in their community. Having a physical office here shows we’re not just talking about serving this region, we’re investing in it.”

A Strategic Expansion Across the Columbia

The Vancouver office is a key part of Century West’s long-term growth strategy. The move enables our team to explore new opportunities and strengthen relationships with clients who prefer to work with locally based firms.

“Many public agencies in Southwest Washington are hesitant to hire firms that don’t have a presence in the area,” Joseph explains. “Opening this office is our way of saying: we’re here, we’re committed, and we’re ready to partner with you.”

This investment also strengthens collaboration between Century West’s Portland and Vancouver operations. The two offices will share staff and project resources, giving clients the advantage of local responsiveness backed by regional expertise.

Supporting Communities Through Lasting Relationships

Century West already has a strong foundation in Southwest Washington through its aviation work with clients such as the Port of Vancouver and Southwest Washington Regional Airport in Kelso. The new office expands that foundation to include municipal and electrical services, areas where our team’s experience in community-focused design will have immediate impact.

“Our projects are often about improving safety, mobility, and livability,” Joseph says. “From Safe Routes to School to multimodal improvements, our goal is to deliver projects that make a tangible difference for residents. Bringing that experience closer to home for Southwest Washington communities just makes sense.”

A Meaningful Move and a Personal One

For Joseph, this expansion also carries personal significance. “I grew up in East Vancouver,” he shares. “It feels like a homecoming. Downtown Vancouver has changed so much since I was in high school. Being able to contribute to that growth and momentum is really exciting.”

Century West officially opened the Vancouver office in October 2025. We are planning an open house in April during the APWA Washington Spring Conference, and we look forward to welcoming clients and partners to celebrate with us. “We’re not opening this office just to check a box,” Joseph adds. “We’re doing it because Southwest Washington deserves a partner who is truly part of the community.”
