Pedestrian and Bike Pathway
Trail Follows the Great Northern Railroad
Century West is serving as the civil engineer for the conceptual design of the Millwood Trail project. The 12 feet wide, 2.3-mile pedestrian and bike pathway is a new extension of a south side trail along the Spokane River. The trail will open up views of the adjacent Spokane River that most people have never seen and provide new points for access to the nearby river bank. The project will provide historical context of the trail and the Felts Field Airport, as well as the history of the Great Northern Railroad for which most of the trail runs on the old rail line. The multipurpose trail system is located within the City of Spokane with eventual connections to other trails in the Cities of Millwood and Spokane Valley. Century West’s services include environmental review and permitting.
