Power Ford and Sunwest Motors Storm Drain Realignment
Newport, OR
Details
1,800
Feet of New Storm Drain Pipe
Project
Century West is providing design engineering services for storm drain and roadway improvements associated with removal of publicly maintained storm pipes from beneath the building footprints of the two auto dealer showrooms located along Highway 101. The project involves an alignment study to determine the best route to install approximately 1,800 feet of 18- to 24-inch diameter pipe that bypasses both buildings through a new route within public right-of-way (ROW) along with preliminary and final design for the chosen option. Other project improvements included pavement rehabilitation for failing sections of existing street and a short section of new roadway with curbs and gutters and coordination with ODOT to permit the improvements within their ROW and upgrading four individual curb ramps to meet the latest American’s with Disabilities Act requirements.
