Project
Century West provided design and construction administration services for this rehabilitation/reconstruction project along Airtrans Way and adjacent roads for the Port. The project included design of roadway elements, ADA ramps, sidewalk replacements, tree removal, and stormwater upgrades. Grind and inlay was primarily used for pavement reconstruction, but full depth reclamation techniques were also used in areas where pavement had degraded due to inadequate subgrade. These areas were determined through visual inspection of the pavement followed by geotechnical testing to determine the suitability of the existing section. The project also required extensive traffic control planning to maintain vehicular access to Airtrans Way and the adjacent tenants. Century West completed design and construction services on schedule and within budget.
