2nd Street NW Transportation Improvements

Project
The project will include approximately 3,000 linear feet of street modifications along 2nd Street NW between Wallace Road NW (ODOT Highway No. 150) and Gerth Avenue NW. Conceptual planning for the project was provided in the 2015 West Salem Business District Action Plan covering three specific recommendations for revitalization and future growth of the area. Century West is currently providing full design services on two approximately equal length phases for design/construction with Phase 1 bidding in 2023 and Phase 2 planned for 2024. Efforts include such tasks as topographic survey, geotechnical investigations, Phase I and II environmental assessments, cultural resources identifications, traffic lighting analysis, waterline and sanitary sewer design, street design, and landscape architectural services for hardscape street design.
