Pre-Cast Concrete Pedestrian Bridges
Project
Century West worked with the Town of Fairfield to obtain grant funds to pay for the design of the project. The project included construction of two precast concrete pedestrian bridges with cast-in-place abutments and fabricated hand railing. The pedestrian bridges, which span Rattler’s Run Creek, will help to connect the Town Park, and the west side of the Town with the Central Business District.
The bridges greatly improve pedestrian safety by separating the foot traffic from the vehicular traffic. Century West also secured grant funds to construct the project, as well as provide construction observation, materials testing, and grant and contract administration.
